How It Works

The Community Care Portal brings together people who need help, JCJFS facilitators, and community members who want to give back.

Step 1

A Neighbor Asks for Help

A Jackson County resident submits a request describing what they need: food, a ride to an appointment, help with a utility bill, or anything else. Their personal information stays private.

Step 2

JCJFS Reviews & Matches

A facilitator at Jackson County Job & Family Services reviews the request, identifies the best local resource or volunteer, and coordinates the connection, all within two business days.

Step 3

The Community Responds

Volunteers and organizations see anonymized requests on the Community Board and offer help. When a match is made, JCJFS coordinates everything so the right support reaches the right person.
