How It Works

The Community Care Portal brings together people who need help, JCJFS staff, and community members who want to give back.

Step 1

A Neighbor Asks for Help

A Jackson County resident sends a request telling us what they need: food, a ride to an appointment, help with a utility bill, or anything else. Their personal information stays private.

Step 2

JCJFS Reviews & Matches

A staff member at Jackson County Job & Family Services looks at the request, finds the best local resource or volunteer, and sets up the connection, all within two business days.

Step 3

The Community Responds

Volunteers and groups see requests on the Community Board, shown without names, and offer help. When there is a match, JCJFS sets up everything so the right support reaches the right person.
